Unit 5 Assignment Blogging Part 1
A tip for designing a blog remember it is a call to action so the headline needs to be predominate on the page and easy to remember. Use one font for your headline, a different one for your text and if needed a third one for your logo. If you are going to use art make sure it is as lifelike as possible and it represents what you are going to be blogging about in the future. Do not clutter the page because it will appear to be too busy; people will not stay to read your content. Have plenty of white space so it is easy to read. Finally, if you use background images make them small so they will load more quickly.
A tip for choosing colors is that the blog should have a primary color such as a shade of grey and then a call to action color. The primary color is the color you want your readers to see along with the last color you want them to remember about your blog. Any shade of grey on the blog will be used when trying to emphasize or de-emphasize a point to remember. When your readers want to know what to do next they will be looking for your call to action color which is why it will be used sparingly. The use of color is important because depending on the country your readers come from the color choice could offend them also. An example is red here in the United States red is blood in China it is their national color.
